About Me

Hi, I’m Summer Fisher,  a multimedia journalist and freelance photographer based in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where I specialized in Journalism, Advertising, and Media Studies with a concentration in journalism.

I currently work as a reporter for The Waukesha Freeman, covering stories highlighting local government, community issues, and human interest topics throughout Waukesha County and beyond. My background includes experience in video production, photojournalism, and digital storytelling, developed through hands-on reporting and my work with Media Milwaukee, a student-powered news outlet.

Driven by curiosity and a deep respect for authentic storytelling, I aim to create work that informs, connects, and inspires. I’m always open to new projects and collaborations that allow me to explore meaningful narratives through words and visuals.
